“Jack and his green screen studio were perfect for us! We organized everything from Europe and flew in the day before. He was incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our project turned out perfectly.”

FAQ

  • After we have discussed your project (e-mail, phone), you will receive an itemized estimate. Once your estimate is finalized, you will receive an invoice for 50% of your project. This is referred to as your deposit. After your project has wrapped, and before your files are delivered, you will pay the remainder of your balance (the remaining 50%). If your project accrues extra hours, or goes beyond the initial scope, you will be charged at the hourly rate indicated on your invoice (for instance, if you book the studio for 4 hours and shoot for 5, there will be an additional $85 charge because the studio is $85/hr). You will always be notified before extra costs are incurred.

  • For footage over 25GB, we prefer to deliver via a physical hard drive. Our preferred workflow is this:

    1. You purchase or provide a USB-C hard drive. This can be sent to our office (Amazon, etc.) or provided on the day of the shoot.

    2. If the footage cannot be transferred on the day of the shoot, or we are editing your footage, we will take the hard drive and back up the footage later at the studio.

    3. Once your RAW data has been transferred, or your edits are complete, we will mail the hard drive to your location using USPS or UPS. We keep a back-up of the data until your HD arrives.

    4. If you do not require RAW footage, then we can deliver your edits via WeTransfer, Google Drive, or your preferred file sharing service.

  • Not everyone is versed in shooting video, and we understand that this may be one of a handful—or the only—videos you shoot this year. We can certainly advise you on the best schedule for the day, and how much time it will take to set up, conduct interviews, and capture b-roll.

If there is a significant amount of pre-production and planning needed from us, we may quote you an additional consulting or pre-production cost. As mentioned earlier in the FAQ, you will be presented with this information before additional costs are incurred.

  • Your deposit (50%) is due at booking (if booking within 1 week, your deposit is due at least 2 days before your scheduled shoot). Your deposit is due to book the date.

Remainder: If there is a balance, the remainder is due upon file delivery. If paying by card or PayPal, a 3.1% processing fee will be added to the final invoice. Additional time is billed at an hourly cost.

In the event of cancellation, your deposit is transferrable to another project. If hours are unused or deliverables are canceled, your final bill will be prorated if the estimated time was unused. Please note there is a 4-hour minimum on all shoots.

Late invoices will be charged a late fee. The late fee is $25 per day, compounded each unpaid day past due. 1 day = $25, 2 days = $50, 3 days = $75, etc.

Incidentals/expenses: if you are asking us to purchase something on your behalf (hard drives, food/craft services, coffee, anything), it is charged at cost + 10%.

Green screen studio: any damage to the cyc wall is charged at a minimum of $300. Even the most minor damage requires a patch and complete paint job.
